For my final project, I will like to study copyright law and the role Fair Use plays in the contemporary art dialogue. In particular, I would like to explore the legal issue addressed in Rogers v Koons as well as the contemporary significance of this case. Using Carious v Prince and Shepard v Prince as two case studies, I would additionally like to examine the precedent Rogers v Koons has set for future fair use, copyright, and art appropriation proceedings.
